Greenwich Concours 2010
An invitation to the Greenwich Concours International is something we look forward to every spring. For me personally, this was my 13th trip to the Greenwich Concours and the quality of the field has never disappointed. This year was no exception and as you can see from the pictures Mother Nature agreed to cooperate.

This year we brought a 1970 280SE Cabriolet in DB180 Silver with Black interior. We loaded it up on the trailer here in Waltham to make the trip down for a visit with our good friend and gracious host Ms. Thompson. Arriving Saturday afternoon we were treated to a most excellent cook out and a long evening of fun.

Sunday morning Denton and I put the top down on the 280SE and took one of my favorite drives down the Meritt Parkway to Greenwich. Again Mercedes-Benz was well represented on the field with more a dozen vehicles. Our 280SE felt comfortable sandwiched between a 1958 300d and an award winning 1962 300SL Roadster. On display from Mercedes-Benz were the SLS Gullwing and the new 2011 E-Class wagon. In addition, the Bonham’s auction seemed bigger this year and featured a handful of Mercedes-Benz that all sold well. The awards ceremony was shortened in an effort to escape for the pending downpours that were on their way from NY. Thankfully we made it out.
